We have now opened our on farm Co-op Store! It is a collection of 13 of our local area farmers and artisians wares as well as our grass fed beef and non GMO pork. We have all sorts of goodies and more to come in the following months as we expand not only our store but our website as well. Right now we have goat milk, yogurt, cheese, maple syrup, jams, honey, homemade soaps, lotions, bath and shower bombs, essential oils and room sprays just to mention a few. Stop in and check it out daily from 10am to 2 pm.
Many new and exciting changes coming to the farm this spring!
First we are venturing to the Rochester Public Farmers Market as well as the Syracuse Farmers Market this year. We acquired a big box truck this winter to hold our freezers and delicious grass fed beef and pork and have been going to Thursdays and Saturdays markets, (on the days weather permitted) but as the weather gets nicer we will be there full time this spring and summer!
We have so many loyal customers from the Rochester area that drive out to the farm for orders and we are so grateful to be able to meet you closer to your homes thisyear!
Next up is our new farm store!
It is still under construction but should be completed in the next month. We are planning a 'food co-op' sort of a store. We are partnering with some of our closest farmer friends and will be featuring their 'farm wares' as well as our own. You will be able to shop for not only our delicious meats, but jellies, jams, baked goods (on weekends) eggs, honey, all natural soaps and lotions (made from our suet and lard) and veggies too as the gardens grow.
Because we are a working farm and can't just sit in our store all day (a girl could wish can't she) we will be open 10-2pm daily and by appointment at other times. (just give us a call so we can set a time convenient to us both. Stop by as you pass us on your drives to beautiful Fair Haven beach or the Sterling Renaissance Festival. we are on the way to both.
For all those who have been asking about my husband's health....God is good and so is my friend Jane. She donated her kidney to him last August and he has been recovering really well. Thank you God for not taking him yet and giving Jane the courage to give the ultimate gift,... part of herself. May she be blessed abundantly for such a generous gift. I know I have...thank you my friend!
Well have to run for now, have to go pick up our first batch of meat chicken chicks today....Chicken will be ready sometime mid June. Planning on having multiple batches this year since last years sold out in less than 2 weeks. Happy Spring!!!
Spring is finally here and the animals are all glad to be out on pasture again! The cows were running, jumping, and skipping down the hill as I let them out yesterday.
A former NYC girl turned into Farmer Lu, traded my high heels, and long nails for boots, a shovel and my prayer book but have never been happier, or healthier. My life and this farm is a true testament that God alone knows what would make us the happiest and leads us to it if only we allow Him.
