While I signed the papers that made this property ours that day, I still hadn't yet realized that God was building a farm.
I only knew it had enough acreage to insulate my family from the harmful cell tower rays that were making my daughter sick for so many years.
God had showed me that was the cause of her illness and I believed Him. Even despite everyone telling me I was crazy, that it was not possible for a cell tower to make her sick. Even despite their jeers, I trusted Him. Back then the idea of 'invisible waves of energy' was preposterous, even my close family members thought I had gone crazy but His Grace carried me and I just kept trusting Him. He led, I followed.... So when my husband and I went out to look for the first time inside this massive white barn with a Mother Mary blue roof, I could only ponder out loud
"Chuck maybe God does want us to open a farm?"
My husband ever the wiseguy responded with "Oh yea well if God wants us to open a farm then He better send someone to show us because we never even visited a farm" We both just laughed at the idea, but then just a few days later a neighbor showed up with a couple of cows and pigs asking us if we would raise them with him. It was then I knew this was the next step and Our Lady of Victory Farm was born. I couldn't even imagined back then what it would become, or how many people we would be able to help, never mind how much joy it would bring me, but God knew...God knew the secret desires of my heart even when I didn't yet know them. Being in the restaurant business most of our lives, and of Italian/Irish descent I always loved feeding people...but never did I imagine I would not only feed them but grow and raise the food...but God did and here we are just 8 short years later and God has allowed me to learn how to raise almost all of our food. From milking a cow, to making butter and cheeses. To raising beef, pork and chicken, as well as growing a massive garden that has fed many families over the years. No it has not been easy, and we have had more than our share of hardships along the way. I have wanted to give up so many times. Especially on the negative degree weather days that we get all too often in the winter on top of this hill, but His Grace continues to carry us. I carry on because despite the hardships I know this is God's doing. It could only be, how else could this 52 year old woman not only learn all this but do it and mostly alone. Yes God has sent many wonderful people along the way to help, and without them I would never have been able to do this, not with my disabled husbands health which has declined so much these last 5 years, and so today I am overfilled with joy and gratitude. To God for leading me, and for sending them. Grateful to them for their generosity, Grateful for the many customers who have shared their stories of how much their lives and health have improved since learning to eat only good wholesome, natural food.
Food raised and nurtured the way God intended it to be raised to nourish our bodies. Thank you God, keep leading us, we will keep following, for You alone know whats best for your children and what will make us most happy. Thank you thank you!
